Skip forward one day--they arrived, they fixed the problem (which was a fire hazard created by our previous electrician) and then proceeded to present us with a more-than-reasonable bill for their services. In today's world, it is refreshing to know that you can call a local company, get a real person on the phone, and have your problems resolved in less than 24 hours. That is what I call SERVICE!

I would highly recommend Texas Electrical Service, its staff, and most importantly, its work! Hank and his assistant, Tommy, are professional, reliable, honest, and know their business. Working with them is a pleasure. You won't be disappointed!

Hank and Tommy showed up that afternoon! They found the problem within minutes and wanted to know if they could come back Saturday morning. There would need to be considerable time spent in the attic and it was over 100 degrees. We were surprised that they were willing to come back on the weekend but were thrilled with their quick response.

In greater detail, Steve and Texas Electrical Services came to our rescue when another electrical company left us to dry, and didn't do their job correctly. We had a tough time finding someone patient enough to help us with our problem, and Texas Electrical Services was borderline a godsend. Steve came in and not only explained step by step what we needed to do, but also got us in contact with the city inspectors to help us cut through red tape. He did not JUST get us in touch with city inspectors, but also emailed them multiple times and gave us phone numbers for the appropriate parties to contact. I can't thank them enough and it is good to know that good people are out there doing good jobs, especially after what we have been through. See my other reviews for the nightmare we went through with Genesis Electrical prior to Texas Electrical saving us.

We had issues with a job performed by a previous company and we knew we wouldn't be calling that company again.

My husband and I had worked with Hank Powell at Texas Electrical and felt confident that he would help us get these issues resolved so we contacted Tim at Texas Electrical Service to see if he could send Hank and his assistant, Tommy, out to help us. The office personal told us they would be out as soon as possible. It was a Friday morning. It was not an emergency. We were not in a huge rush. We flipped the problem breaker and figured we would hear from someone on Monday.

We will be using Texas Electrical Service for all of our future needs, both residential and agricultural.

Then I called Texas Electrical Service, they came the next day and spent several hours looking over the job, including climbing in a very hot attic and performed a very thorough investigation of our electrical problems, they discussed my options and in a few days emailed me the estimate in clear and comprehensible language. I agreed to the terms and they performed the work expeditiously and professionally, we were more than happy with the work and the price. We highly recommend them.

In short, 5 stars is more than appropriate. Steve is a class act. Punctual, professional, and does what he says he's going to do.

When I expressed my concerns I was treated badly and called a whiner on the phone. I was also sent 3 ranting and scolding email novels that were very upsetting and they contained math errors. They did come back to remove their work and I wasn't charged after that. All they did for me was waste my time and cause undue stress. Afterwards I found another electrician that was $112 less. I do not recommend TX Electrical Services at all.

I was not given a price for routine work and then was overcharged.

We moved to Cameron in November 2015, we had called several local electrical companies to acquire estimates on a substantial amount of much needed electrical work, some never called back, others came out but never called back with estimate.

I called about a half dozen electricians to get someone out to convert the outlet behind my gas range to one that will work with an electric range. A rather complicated, difficult and expensive task according to the other electricians. I called Texas Electrical Services, explained my situation via voicemail and received a text about 5 minutes later informing me that they will have someone out that same afternoon! Not only did they quote me $200 less than the others, but the two electricians that came out were extremely professional, even with a few complications. They cleaned up after themselves, were courteous and offered a fair price for the amount of work. Highly recommend!
